Yoel Sano

Yoel Sano manages Fitch Solutions’ political risk analysis and coordinates the publication of Fitch Solutions’ quarterly Global Political Outlook and thematic special reports. His areas of focus include domestic political and social transformation, regional security risks, great power rivalry, and long-term forecasting. He is also responsible for crafting risk scenarios for 'low probability-high impact' events. Yoel has a Bachelor’s degree in geography from Oxford University, and a Master’s degree in Theory and History of International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE). He has worked at Fitch Solutions since 2003 and was Head of Asia Research from 2006-2009.

Michael Larsson

Michael Larsson is a Global Emerging Markets Economist in Fitch Solutions’ Global Macro Research group, responsible for publishing systematic and thematic emerging market or macro-related research for its client base. Prior to joining the Global Macro Research group in May 2018, Michael was a Director in Fitch Ratings’ Credit Markets Research team, covering European corporate bond markets and high-yield debt. Before this, he worked on the buy side at Janus-Henderson Investors as an investment analyst within their emerging markets sovereign debt and quantitative equities hedge funds. Before working at Janus-Henderson, Michael was a research scientist specialising in semiconductors and fullerenes and during this time he was awarded the prestigious Toshiba Fellowship in recognition of innovative work. Other than the Toshiba award, he is the recipient of prizes from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Proctor & Gamble and the Institute of Physics. During his studies, Michael worked at BAE Systems/GEC Marine (Yarrow) and DSTL. Michael holds the MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering with first class honours from University College, London and the PhD degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Imperial College, London.
