John is a Global Economist who focusses on emerging markets. He works with the global team and the various country risk teams to form EM-wide views. Prior to joining Fitch Solutions in 2020, John worked as a Senior Emerging Markets Economist at Capital Economics, a macroeconomic consultancy based in London. John holds a BA from the University of Toronto and an MSc from the London School of Economics.
Head of Oil & Gas Analysis
Joseph Gatdula joined Fitch Solutions in September 2018 as Head of Oil & Gas Analysis, and is based in the London office. He oversees a number of key areas including analysis, content and product development. Key components include the supply and demand of energy and their effects on global oil and gas prices. He also fosters the development of expertise in the practice. Supported by a diverse team of analysts he works closely with sales to sharpen the commercial offering for clients.
Previous to Fitch Solutions he led the oil and gas research operations for a global business intelligence provider with extensive experience in project and team management. His prior focus was on valuations and bottom up analysis of global trends in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Joseph's background includes diverse roles as a geologist, management consultant and software developer supporting a diverse set clients from multiple industries from oil and gas, manufacturing, aerospace and media. Originally from California, he has lived in London since 2009. Joseph has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Geology from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Imperial College.
